Breaking the Silence

Helloooooo

No one has posted in this blog for a while so I just decided to post something.

I attempted to recap my summer but failed. Wrote a fair bit but my laptop ran out of batteries and all was lost. So I chose to just recap what has happened during the school year.

September is almost over and exams will be coming soon. I have a few labs and therefore a few lab reports that I’m suppose to write. I have a lab in exercise physiology, fitness appraisal, and animal physiology. They’re all pretty interesting, but I’m not too big on lab reports so it will be challenging.

Moving into my new place is smaller and a bit inconvenient travelling to campus-wise. It’s a further walk to all my classes, though it matters not since I take the bus. But if i ever did want to walk… I would lack the motivation to as it is too far. I enjoy the company though at my house. Seeing friends when you wake up… pretty different. I’m liking it so far though, not too bad. Living with friends does have its perks.

Sport-wise I haven’t been playing volleyball… i’m at a volleyball withdrawal. Instead, I have softball (fast pitch) for one of the sport classes that I take for marks =) It’s interesting so far. Very complicated and has a bit of a learning curve in terms of techniques. It’s a pretty technical sport. Today was mostly practicing outfielding. The coach basically taught us to step into the ball and a bunch of other stuff to catch the ball and get it out of ur gloves faster. There was a LOT of throwing today and so my throwing shoulder and sides are pretty done. Catching balls that are rolling towards me, running to the ball and doing a crow-hop to continue the momentum that I gained from running making the throwing of the ball easier; throwing the ball to a relay person when the outfielder is too far out to throw it all the way into the infield; catching pop-flys and throwing them back to your partner… a LOT of throwing and movement as throwing is often accompanied by catching. Sometimes there are balls that are purposely thrown to make you run… and then there are those that accidentally get by you which forces you to run even more. All this was today… in the rain, though it was only a light drizzle, it was also damp and soggy outside. Overall though it was pretty fun and we got to get off of class earlier as the field was wet so no scrimmage. A lot of techniques and information to take in for each softball class. I know it sounds like I’m complaining… prolly much better than what you engineers are doing rite now haha. As fun as it is, it does drain the energy stores and therefore it is time to sleep.

Oh, in the morning i also went to the wrong building and had to get to the other side of campus within 10 minutes. Speed walked it all the way there. Also forgot my umbrella after class at the UCC so i walked down to a bus stop, then had to walk all the way back up which maybe took 10-15 minutes or so in total. Just a lot of unnecessary walking today haha.

That is all for my Tuesday. Hope to post here more.
