Its been a while

I haven't posted in a week. Why? Mainly because I've been using the time to practise for a taekwondo test I had on Friday. I put in a lot of work, since I wanted to skip a belt, which meant I had to master the requirements of my current belt and the next belt. Even after all the work I put it, I'm not sure if I did it well enough to warrant a double promotion. I guess I'll find out about that on the coming Friday.

Well, yesterday my parents finally bought something they wanted since we moved into our current home 7 years ago, a patio set. They ended up going one step further by buys the chairs, tables, and instead of the usual umbrealla, they got a large enclosed tent-thing with netting for four walls to keep insects out. The only reason they did it yesterday was because of a maternal family party my mom pulled with all her siblings together (minus one whos pregnant in montreal). It went great, but we didn't exactly know how to pass the time since it was basically everyone waiting for my uncle and dad to finish on the barbeque.

That was yesterday, and today I woke up very exhausted and tired. I didn't have anything planned and I couldn't take the heat of the house, so instead of the usual of trying to convince S.S that we should spend this day not being bored, I told him to come over and we could think of something to do as we sat in the fresh air under the roof of my tent. (I'm calling it a tent since its made from cloth and its portable enought to put together at a moment's notice. After sitting outside and playing cards for an hour, badminton somehow came up and we decided to play. I decided this was the perfect chance to open up something that hasn't been used in years. A badminton set.

It was great, since we got it up in half an hour (damn S.S, broke a peg) and decided to play. To explain how the game went for the next 4 hours, you have to understand that S.S last played badminton a couple months ago, while I bordered two years. We just played hard enough for me to get better to a point when it wasn't S.S getting bored of me. We finally spent a weekend not sitting around doing nothing except homework. We only called it quits when the only birdie we had got stuck in a tree (shakes fist at S.S... always in the trees).

I just realized I shuffled the cards me and S.S putt in order

So now that I'm home and realizing I have a History Essay to prepare for as part of my in class exam, as well as two projects for English, I find that today was well spent, since I wouldn't have started the homework till nine either way. I talked with my dad who said he could make a better badminton set out of metal, so now I have that to look forward to as I'm down to my last two weeks of school.
